Fixing Complex PDF Tables
August 18, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
Complex tables that include merged and split cells are a common accessibility concern. Making these tables more accessible in the source document can be a time-consuming challenge. When no other workaround is available, there are a few things you can do inside the PDF to make complex tables more accessible for screen reading applications.
The instructor will demonstrate how to create and, confirm the accessibility of, a complex PDF table.
- Table structure tag review
- Using the Table Editor
- Applying Table Attributes
- Adding a Table Summary
- Generating and assigning table cell ids
Optional Webinar Recording: Participants have the option of purchasing access to the webinar recording for 7 days following the live event.
Note: To get the full benefit of learning how to create accessible table content, it is strongly recommended to participate in the full “Accessible PDF Documents” virtual training webinar.
