Accessibility and the Built Environment (Webinar Recording)
$0.00
Do you know what your responsibilities are under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) when it comes to building accessibility? What can you do to create an accessible business and community? Who is responsible for making changes to the built environment? What does the law require?
Accessibility and the Built Environment was a webinar held on October 17, 2014. The webinar was part of a year-long initiative that Accessibility Services Canada managed, in partnership with the Ontario BIA Association and the Government of Ontario (Accessibility Directorate of Ontario).
The webinar includes presentations by a panel of government experts and discussion about the relationship between various legislations affecting the built environment. Resources are included as part of the webinar.
The panel of presenters includes representatives from the Government of Ontario:
- Accessibility Directorate of Ontario
- Ontario Human Rights Commission
- Building and Development Branch at Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Whether you are a property owner or a tenant, this webinar will equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to meet your obligations under the AODA and understand its relationship with the Ontario Building Code and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
